Our Services

The Barn

The early 1800's historic barn will accommodate over 200 seated guests with additional outdoor space for a tent. The barn features a bridal ready suite, indoor restrooms, and a bar area lit with overhead cafe lighting. The four bays of the barn have tulle and burlap draped between beams along with mini light strands and a chandelier that gives a "candle-lit" ambiance.

Outdoor Ceremony

Located just a few yards away from the barn's grand doorways is a wooded area popular for an outdoor ceremony. This landscaped space is perfect for a ceremony, beautiful pictures, or simply an area for your guests to stroll and relax under the lit trees. This intimate setting provides a change of environment from the open fields surrounding the barn and will be a picturesque accent to your wedding day.

Details

Part of the service provided for our couples is a "walk-through." This appointment is scheduled 4-8 weeks ahead of your wedding date. Together we'll finalize plans for reception setup, ceremony location, decor, follow-up with other vendors, arrival times, etc...

Decor Collection

Gish Barn boasts an impressive collection of vintage decor options when you book your wedding with us. From place-card holders to vases and lanterns, there are sure to be decor options that would add a special touch and personal uniqueness to make your wedding day beautiful. Vendors

When you sign with Gish Barn a starter packet is provided including a recommended (but optional) vendors to contact regarding further planning for your wedding. The list includes caterers, florist, decorator, hair stylist, photographers, vocalists, bands, and beyond!

Access

The Gish Barn and grounds will open for wedding preparation as early as 6 am the morning of your wedding. This allows for your friends, family and hired wedding professionals, plenty of time to set up and personalize your decor. Reception festivities must end by 11 pm. A rehearsal time can be scheduled (if needed) on a weekday prior to the wedding.

I cannot say enough good things about the barn and about Denise. I felt that she was so easy to work with and was willing to help with any questions to ideas that we had. She was so supportive and accommodating through the whole process which made everything run so smoothly. The barn is simply gorgeous and is the perfect venue for those looking for a rustic feel for their special day. The landscape is beautiful with multiple areas for an outdoor ceremony if desired. They also have a booklet of items available to rent for decor if interested. I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a beautiful barn wedding.

Ric and Denise Weis are the owners of the Gish Barn. They have lovingly developed and maintained the property and buildings for over 16 years. Their crowning achievement is 5 adult children and 10 (and counting) grandchildren. The Weis’ private home sits adjacent to the Barn and has been designated a Historic Landmark.
