The Gish Barn’s original eighteenth-century hand-hewed beams and spacious square footage is the ideal place for a rustic and elegant country wedding, corporate event, or special occasion. Vaulted ceilings are neutrally decorated in with a beautiful chandelier and canopy of lights, accenting the grandness of the barn’s century-old interior with subtle elegance.
WEDDINGS
Built in the 1830’s by the Gish family, and recently restored in 2013 by Ric and Denise Weis. The Gish Barn’s original eighteenth-century hand-hewed beams and spacious square footage is the ideal place for a rustic and elegant country wedding. Vaulted ceilings are neutrally decorated with an elegant chandelier and canopy of lights, accenting the grandness of the barn’s century-old interior.
SPECIAL EVENTS
The grounds around the Barn include a wide spacious area ideal for a tent, a beautiful wooded area popular for events, and a fire pit for a more casual affair. All outdoor spaces are landscaped and highlight the natural beauty and history of the Gish Barn, the perfect backdrop for your wedding photos and a natural and comfortable environment that will surely impress your guests.
CORPORATE EVENTS
The Gish Barn is centered on 100-acre farmland, overlooking a gorgeous valley in Rittman Ohio. Twenty minutes west of Akron Ohio and an hour south of Cleveland it’s easily accessed from several major highways. This makes the Gish Barn ideal for a variety of corporate events both large and small, with our facilities accommodating as many as 175 people.
Stephen & Anna
Owners
Stephen and Anna Weis own and operate the Gish Barn. When he’s not organizing events and maintaining the property, Stephen also runs his own HVAC company, Cornerstone Heating & Cooling LLC. Anna is a music educator. Her full-time job is homeschooling 4 amazing little ones. The Weis’ private home sits adjacent to the Barn and has been designated a Historic Landmark.
